Creative Forces is the “whiz bang” movie operation founded by award-winning filmmaker and former Disney animator, Lee McCaulla.
Torn between pursuing a Master’s Degree in Experimental Animation and returning to work for the studios, Lee consulted with one of his former mentors, Jules Engel. The meeting changed the course of his life. Engel encouraged him to trust his heart’s deepest longing: to create opportunities and serve others through a new kind of cinematic enterprise.
Today, the company is dedicated to producing compelling, entertaining films of various genres for diverse audiences. From its humble beginnings as an Internet start-up, to the completion of its first feature film, the entity remains humble - with three feature films and a podcast series in development. In addition to its entertainment-based product, the company provides various film, video, & animation services to corporations, non-profits, and individuals around the world.
Prior to launching Creative Forces, McCaulla was hired by John Kricfalusi to direct a series of television commercials for the Old Navy Clothing Company. The commercials highlighted kid's jeans and went on to win Annie Awards for best television commercial of 1998.
Paper Clips marked the company’s foray into computer animation. Meticulously crafted, the film profiles the adventures of a brave little paper clip whose shiny opinion of the world is soon dulled after he escapes from his tiny box. A pioneering effort,
Paper Clips was initially released on September 1st, 2001; the first project of its kind ever available on the Internet in a pay-per-view fashion.
Worker's Compensation is a live action short that won McCaulla a major prize at the Adaptec DV Pics Digital Video contest. Completed in less than a week, this dogma style piece further demonstrates his skill and resourcefulness as writer/director.
In the Spring of 2003, McCaulla created Taxi Ride; a music video for Tori Amos. His interpretation of her song from the Scarlet's Walk album, was personally selected by Tori among her top three favorites and won the popular vote among her fans and professional associates in a contest sponsored by Sony Music and Apple Computer.
Lee’s previous credits include work on features like Disney's Aladdin, Pocahontas, and Warner Brother's Space Jam starring Michael Jordan. He has also animated for Don Bluth on Thumbelina, Bill Kroyer on Ferngully: The Last Rainforest, and the late Chuck Jones on Stay Tuned. His television credits include work on shows like The Ren & Stimpy Show and The Critic.
Streaker marks his feature film debut as writer, producer, director.
